Getting started

Just ordered the P90X set of Dvds and I am awaiting the arrival. Today is Saturday Januarary 30th and I have 24 days left of eating, drinking, and basically doing what ever I want.

Which by the way is pretty much how I have lived my life for the past twenty five years with regard to diet anyway.

Stay tuned ...more to come .....

  3. I want to wish you all the best with your quest…

Since there are no secrets between us I have to tell you that at age 50 the battle is on…its just me and gravity….every morning I wake up and some part of me has fallen a little lower and will never be quite where it was before….Oh yea, I might win a little battle along the way if I exercise a little more, have one less dessert…but ultimately I know I will lose the war.

Not only do I have the weight issue to constantly worry about…but I find myself doing and saying things that I used to make fun of my mother and your mother for!!!…..(this I still find myself in denial over). Just the other day I had to ask one of the girls that work for me who Lady Gaga is?? I watched the American Music Awards the other night and didn’t know who anyone was!!! What happened to Frank and Dean and Sammy???? I asked a co-worker if she wanted to dress as Sonny and Cher for Halloween and she asked me who Sonny was!!!!!

There is a whole other younger generation just waiting patiently to take our places and make fun of us!!!!! I guess its some kind of cosmic payback!!!

That being said, take it from your older, wiser, (favorite) cousin….to me you will always be your most fabulous self…any age…any weight!!!! To me you will always be smoking a cigar at Beba’s or dinking Tangaray and Tonic in Ft Lauderdale on Blind, Crippled and Crazy!!!!

You will always be the ultimate Improper Bostonian!!!

If you really feel losing weight is going to get you back any part of your youth….take it from me it won’t…so have another drink and another slice of pizza…..you can’t turn back time and ultimately we all lose the war……ENJOY
